- Chapter Meeting - April 3rd - 12:00 to 1:30 - Sierra Gold - 6615 S. Jones Rd.
- Presenatation - James Golinveaux, Senior Vice President of Research & Development for Tyco Fire and Building Products, will be giving a presentation on new sprinkler technologies. Mr. Golinveaux will provide information on Tyco's new 11.2 k-factor, concealed sprinkler that is approved for ceiling heights over 25 feet in all occupancies. In addition, Mr. Golinveaux will provide an overall follow-up on the results of the sprinkler testing program that Tyco conducted last year for high-ceiling spaces (> 55 feet), the initial phase of which he presented to the SNSFPE Chapter last May.
Mr. Golinveaux has over 24 years of experience in the fire protection industry. In addition to his duties at Tyco, Mr. Golinveaux serves on the technical committees of NFPA 13, NFPA 88A, NFPA 101, and NFPA 5000. Mr. Golinveaux contributed to the editorial text for the 2002 NFPA 13 Handbook and was the co-author of the Chapter on "Sprinkler Systems for Storage Facilities" in the 19th edition of the NFPA Fire Protection Handbook.
Networking will begin at 11:45 AM with a lunch buffet service starting at 12:00 PM. Following a few announcements, the presentation will begin at approximately 12:30 PM. The meeting cost is $20 for Chapter members that RSVP. The meeting cost for non-members and members that do not RSVP is $25.
